
MAYOR W. TROY BEETS
Mayor Beets moved to Roane County in June, 1969 with his wife Carolyn and sons Jay and Doug. They have four granddaughters (two (Tayler and Sarah) live in Virginia, one (Becca) in New Jersey and Brittani McClure, a resident of Kingston and the mother of their great-grandchildren, Rowynn and Channing). Carolyn is a retired Kingston business woman. He retired as a Section Head from Lockheed Martin Energy Systems in 1998 after 32 years of service in the Information Technology Division. He worked at various plants during this service including K-25, X-10 and Y-12. In May 2005, Mayor Beets retired from the Kingston Elementary School where he was employed for six years as a Computer Lab Technical Assistant.
